How Do I Use This Site?
I have endeavoured to ensure that the all4access database is easy to use.
You can access the information in two ways, depending on the depth of your requirements.
For a fast search:
Go to the search 4 a venue pages - These are split into three sections - A to J (Aberdeen - Ipswich), K to R (Kendal - Rotherham) & S - Z (Salford - Yeovil)
Scroll down to the venue of your choice
Use the table as your guide
For detailed information:
Go to the search 4 a venue pages as above
Scroll down the venue listing and click your choice
This will link you to further information such as seating plans and feedback from disabled visitors
How Can I Get Involved?
There are many ways to help all4access.com
If you attend concerts or the theatre regularly and feel that you could contribute to the development of this website then please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. I currently looking for disabled people, their families and friends to assess venues throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Unfortunately, as all4access.com is a non-profit making incentive I do not have the finances to pay you a wage. However, everyone who helps out will be named and thanked wholeheartedly here.
If you are attending a performance taking place at one of the venues listed on the search 4 a venue page get in touch with me with a review or a feedback on how you found the facilities available. I will then add your opinions to this site. Your comments will aid other site visitors to judge whether the venue is the right one for them.
all4access.com has a limited amount of t-shirts available for you to wear at venues/theatres. If you would like one, please get in touch - and don't forget to get someone to take a photograph of you wearing it so it can be added to the good vibes page on this site!
As a non-profit making incentive I will be seeking sponsorship in order to keep this site running. If you might be able to help, please contact me
What Do I Need To Look Out For When Reviewing A Venue?
When assessing a venue for disabled access there are many things worth considering such as:
Are there any disabled patrons car parking bays close by?
Are there any steps into the building?
Is access into the venue via a main or side door?
Are there lifts/access to all floors?
Is there access into the venue bar?
Are the toilet facilities accessible to all?
What's the view like?
Are there facilities for deaf and hard of hearing people?
Are guide/support dogs allowed into the auditorium or will the staff dog-sit?
Are there regular signed performances?
Are concessions available for disabled people and their companions?
Were the staff helpful?
Did you feel that the Box Office staff were honest in their description of the facilities available?
